For Traject in situ I developed my themes of embodiment into a kind of spider-feminism. In important identity-forming spaces, from folktales and to cyberspace, other bodies are presented in monstrous, animalistic forms. I subvert this, understanding myself as a spider- witch.  I I created webs for safety and objects from artificial hair. Tactile textile pieces offer open-ended narratives celebrating nature through human stories. Through this work, Alexandra acknowledges her body as part of a larger eco-system and embodied creative practice as something primal and central to our existence.
